Redemption Post

I know I've not posted in almost 6 months. What can i say, life is busy! So, this post (which I hope to be the first of many catch-up pics) is from our trip to Disneyland 2 weeks ago for Jenna's 4th Birthday. We all had a blast...and unlike last year (see post from May 2009) there wasn't a single tear shed.
We were goofy about being there...but stopped for a photo with Pluto.
Our little Princess got to see several princesses. She was in hog heaven.
Until Daddy ran over and shared that his b-day was coming up and he wanted to get a photo with the princesses, too. Ugh!

Rumors of Us Falling Off Planet...Greatly Exaggerated

I haven't posted in ...well, forever! But, we're all still alive and kicking. And new photos, catch up photos, details of life, etc. will be posted very, very, very soon. (Or so we'd have you believe.)

Please check back and don't give up on us! My over-photographed kids miss your adoration.

Nuttin Really

Not a great deal to post today other than just general cuteness. Thought I'd show everyone a couple cute pics of all my kids.

Duncan and Rudy...can you believe they turned 7 in November? Even with the human additions, they will always be my babies.

My friend Ginette once posted something about the power of cuteness that kids in overall possess. She was SOOOOOOOOO right. Kyle looks about as handsome as can be in his little overalls.
Jenners created another magnificent wardrobe combo with raincoat over bathing suit, leggings and tutu. For the record...I swear we buy the kid cute clothes. But alas...

Putting Up The Tree

We put up our tree the other evening after our return from vacation. Grama joined us for the decorating festivities.

The evening started with Grama reading Twas the Night to Jenna.

We found the Santa hats in one of the boxes and don't my boys look so cute?

Jenna says...put it up there. Kyle says...that's too high!

Oooh, are these glass items something I should be playing with?
Our house looks so festive. I totally love having the Christmas stuff up...especially my holiday snow globe collection out. Holiday songs and decoration make me giddy...or maybe its the eggnog. (Jenna calls it noggin milk.) hahaha.
Happy Holiday!!!

Real Vacation Photos

Due to how large the last post was with 2 videos, I'm putting the still shots from our vacation in a second post.

Gorgeous course with beautiful mountains surrounding.

The resort had 2 Troon championship courses. One day Mommy rode with Daddy and another day, Daddy played alone. And yet another day, Daddy took the princess and her tiny little clubs out. Honestly, could she be cuter?

Family fun included skipping stones on a pond.

They had a cool mile long canal with several boats that would take you to any of the multiple stops and/or allow you to ride around for fun.

Mommy and Daddy had a date night.

Lounge lizards.

The tutu, which has been worn all day and night every day since Christmas 08 was even a great accessory over the bathrobe. Add your golf hat and some crocs and you are one stylish babe!
The view from one of our room's balconies. Gorgeous!
Sunset over the mountains from our balcony.

Daddy and kids playing in a grassy area on the property.

Brotherly love? Negative...we made her kiss him.

Jenna and Kyle sitting in a tree. K. I. S. S. I. N. G. hahaha

A still shot of the slide and the splash pool.

A couple of the other pools...notice how few people are there? Yep, it was us, us and us.

I could have posted a dozen more shots...but they would likely have been just of the waterslide. haha. If anyone wants details, then I'd be happy to share where this was. High, high recommendations to anyone who wants a laid back fun family vacation. Cheers!

November to Remember

We had a lovely, lovely Thanksgiving celebration at our house. We were so blessed to be surrounded by so many people we love. And we hope your Turkey Day celebration was filled with laughter and love...and that you also have much to be thankful for!

Following Thanksgiving, we went on vacation. Wahoo Vacation! We headed over to Arizona to hang out for a week...and it was AWESOME!!!!

J found an awesome resort on line that proved to be even more awesome when we arrived. Our room was AMAZING, the resort property was gorgeous with 2 golf courses, a lovely day spa, it was surrounded by mountains, had 4 pools, several streams, a giant waterslide and WAS TOTALLY EMPTY. No joke when you see these pics...no one goes on vacation the week after Thanksgiving so we had the whole place pretty much to ourselves.

So, we just hung out at the resort and spent some great family time. Our favorite family obsession was the giant waterslide. Again we were the only people there using it. Attached are a couple of videos of our waterslide fun. I'm pleased to say that Mama was by far the fastest down the slide. I put the camera in a ziplock so you could come down the slide at rocket speed with me. The other video is of daddy coming down with Jenna (although she later would prefer to go down alone or go with mom because she likes to go fast.) See the speed differential between the 2 videos. Seriously, I know it is dorky but it was awesome and I'm still sort of giddy about the fun we had.

The holidays are coming...that means shopping, wrapping and shipping...not to mention some trips coming up. We're just trying to get a jump on things at the Smith household.

Happy Holidays!

BOO - They're Scary Cute

Happy Halloween from our house to yours, partner!

Our little western cuties lasso'd our hearts but barely stood still for photos.   Many a treat was bestowed upon them and their only trick was staying up WAYYYYYY past bedtime.

Goodnight from our little cowgirl and cowboy!  And Happy Halloween, too.

Such a Pretty Pony...Clippity Clop

I have no idea why I seem to have a renewed passion to post videos but I (perhaps falsely) believe my little people are funny and seem to feel compelled to force you to watch it, too. haha.

Here, Kyle-man is all sorts of cute riding the rocking horse. Check out his killer smile. Honestly, I'd give him ANYTHING he wants when he flashes that grin. Check it out.
